Light a LED using Main Current 230V/110V AC

To light a LED we cannot just connect it to mains Voltage. But if we really want to indicate AC voltage with a LED how are we supposed to do it. Adding a transformer or a Switch mode power supply and making a step down circuit will do the job but It is too much. So in this post I will show you how to light a led using only 3 components
